Watercolors

I do both watercolor portraits and general watercolor paintings for commission. With some of them I will use pastel or colored pencil to enhance the detail. If you are interested in commissioning a watercolor painting contact me. Below is a checklist of things to consider when requesting a watercolor painting:

The Picture(s):	At this time I only do watercolors from picture references. Please make sure that you include any and all pictures you feel will help me get a better understanding of the animal. Keep in mind: -the pose/expression you desire -an accurate representation of their color -what they are wearing** **Remember tack! If you don't want them in a halter/collar/bridle please let me know. It also helps if you have a picture of the same or similar pose without it so I can get the color and shadow accurate. List by file name which picture is to be used for what in the email you send them to me. (Or write on the back if sending by snail-mail) Don't just write "The picture where he's standing is..." because it just takes me longer to sort out which photo that is.
Completion Time:	Upon request I will give you an estimated time of completion. Please take into account I am about to start school and life is unpredictable at the moment. I will do the best I can to get these done quickly and sent out on time. Shipping cost is included in the price quoted. If you would like a painting rush delivered I can accommodate, but you will be responsible for the extra shipping charges.
Framing:	All paintings are unframed. If you would like it framed I can arrange for professional framing and it will be included in the quote.

Character Illustration

Character illustrations are probably my favorite pieces to do! Perhaps it's because the fanbase is so enthusiastic. At this time I do colored pencil and digital illustrations in the following formats:

• Character Headshot
  One character head and shoulders.
• Character Reference
  No background, up to five images/drawings of different angles. Possible angles: right side, left side, body part detail, from beneath, from above.
• Simple Character Composition
  Up to three characters together, no background.
• Character in Simple Setting
  One character in basic landscape background according to character's residence.
• Character in Complex Setting
  One character in background that includes architecture, other animals/creatures, or up to two other characters.

What I will need from you:

• Character description: A paragraph at least describing your character in physical detail.
• Description of any clothing or ornamentation they may be wearing or bearing at the time. This is a must for human and human-like characters. I don't do nudes. If you do not provide clothing I will create my own.
• Anything you think will help me to get a better understanding of the character. This includes any picture references used for creating them, any bios or backgrounds of the character, any inspirations (people or movies or animals that remind you of them), colors, common emotions, bits of conversation they may have had (this includes posts or poses from a particular scenario you think best describes the character)
• If doing multiple characters: All of the above for EACH character you want drawn
• For simple backgrounds I need a description of their homeland (i.e. "She lives in a tropical environment, like the Caribbean islands") along with any possible differences from actual life ("...except the sea is bright green and there are two suns.") Do keep in mind weird things like multiple suns or moons. Don't just assume I know the environment no matter how many pieces of art you see from that game/genre. Picture examples help ("like this! Except with weedy looking trees!")
• For complex backgrounds the same applies to the features of the background as to the characters. I need any and all possible references you can give me to help make the details of the background as accurate as possible. Again, picture references help.
  
  

NOTE! Please do not ask me to draw characters from movies/books/tv! It is a copyright infringement!

If you are concerned that what you want me to draw might fall into this category go ahead and send me an email with your request so I can see for myself. But if I tell you 'no' understand that I am not only protecting myself but also the creator of the original idea. I will not do characters from books or movies, but I can do characters -based on- those in books or movies.

Example: I cannot draw you Lessa and Ramoth, but I can draw a dark haired woman named Adela and her large Gold dragon with facetted eyes named Vwaynth.
